Peace One Day in Timor Leste

Peace was only a word to make people together to achieve something in many years ago in many countries Peace doesn’t mean anything because they always stayed in anarchy situation.

After many years a man called Jeremy Gilley, worked as part of Peace observer in USA, try convince all countries which having conflict at that moment to start giving forgiveness and work together.

After many years, with support of important Peace icons in the world such Dalai Lama and finally Kofi Anan this mission accomplished in 21 September 2012.

September, 21 is a day in the world where people are giving forgiveness and start living in Peaceful ways.

In Timor-Leste has a youth organization called TLYFP (Timor-Leste Youth for Peace) . TLYFP is founded in 2009 by a group of forty people who consist from different levels of study and schools. These people had been attended an international conference called Initiative for Peace (IFP) organized by  UWCSEA (United World College of South East Asia) since 2007 up to 2016, so nowadays TLYFP has more than 300 member who running its programs..

This conference has inspired the participantsto react in creating peace throughout community. Duringthe anarchy reactionthat has passed few years agothis group founded toreduce this with:

TLYFP has done several community services and the greatest achievement is the tree planting project at Comoro, mountain as part of our environmental conservation.

A thousand and three hundreds trees have planted and show proceeds.

Our mobilization used to happen in schools and communities which considered problematic.

In relation to the environmental conservation we also had an environment cleaning activity and put signs to raise people awareness towards our current environment situation.

Our organization is actually run many difficulties especially in financial circumstance is not too much supporting in creating community activities, but with courage that we had this group has been running for three years.
